Alain's Profile

A Worldwide agent, journalist and an enthusiast of the Electronic Scene, Alain Patrick grew up listening to Classical music under his parents influence. His mother was fan of Mozart, his father, a Jazz and Opera expert - that's where he could listen to Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday for the very first time - and his stepfather a musician devoted to J. S. Bach, Mozart and Haydn's oeuvres.

His ears were always eager to find new sounds such as the experimentalist György Ligeti and the minimal composer Philip Glass, but it was in fact the streets and the radio that changed his life, back when Funk, R&B, Soul and mostly Electro ruled back in 1983-1984, during the Break Dance Era, a Breakbeats passion he would keep for ever. At the end of the eighties, new electronic influences coming from bands like Depeche Mode and New Order, as well as all the Acid House, Detroit Techno, New Beat and EBM scenes caught him almost instantaneously.

After several years, his passion for music became his daily work. He collaborated for several electronic music sites such as www.rraurl.com, www.technopride.net, www.energybr.com.br, and was invited as a member of the Editorial Council of Beatz Magazine in 2004, one of the most important specialized magazines of Latin America, then directed to the official website management during the same year.
In 2005, he left Beatz to work with a DJ & Production School and Technology Center DJ Ban for some few months, so that he could use all of his knowledge and skills in the international electronic music scene to offer specialized and personal support to the DJs, producers and supporters in general, and from 2005 to 2007, he integrated the SmartBiz For DJs team as an agent and responsible for the news and partnership between SmartBiz and DJ Sound.

Since 2007, Alain Patrick decided he had to journey with his own agency and founded Crescendo Management, a Brazilian Agency which joined FM AM from Europe on a new Artist Management called FMAM Crescendo joint-venture, focused on music made with Soul and driven to the future. FMAM Crescendo settled in 2008 the Brazilian tours of artists such as Legowelt, Alden Tyrell, Orgue Electronique, Vince Watson, Radical G., among other well known artists.

As a journalist, Alain Patrick created the blog 'Electronic Standards', a full information platform about musical culture of the past, present and future, based on the book he is currently writing, 'Electronic Music & Breakbeats Standards', an A to Z guide about the history of Breakbeats & Electronic Music.

Since the last years, Alain Patrick's main goals are to provide solutions for the music industry, from events organizations to labels, artists, medias and music audiences - which lead . "I have a strong belief that we can achieve great results through long-term work, focused on quality music and defined strategies"

Alain Patrick.
