Hi I'm Barrie Stone,

I was born in East London but brought up in Harlow, Essex. In My teens I spent most of my time at the beach listening to the popular stations of the time; Radio's Caroline,London and England/Britain Radio. I got bitten by the dj'ing bug and started helping out on a mobile disco before getting my own dj'ing gig at The Palace, Clacton in 1972.

Through my career I have worked on many radio stations such as JFM, Radio Jackie, Solar, Eclipse and Thames Radio as well as helping set up a hospital radio (EDH) in Epsom.

Over the years I have been fortunate to work with many of the top dj's - Greg Edwards, Robbie Vincent, John Sachs, Steve Walsh and the legendary Emperor Rosko to name but a few and amongst the many venues I have dj'd at are the Lyceum in the Strand, La Beat Route and Cheeky Pete's in Richmond. I could name many more but there are just too many to mention..

I haven't done any radio or club gigs for a while now so am a little rusty but I am delighted to join Morpher Radio and looking forward to get back into presenting.
