ChrisEjay's Profile
Music was drummed in to me at an early age with it being played by my father on his portable record player. The likes of Frank Sinatra, Buddy Rich, Dusty Springfield in Circa 1968.

Foward to 1976, at a youth club somewhere in the depths of South London, my mate didn't turn up for his usual Thursday night slot and I got thrown in at the deep end. He told me to grab as many records as I could and head to the youth club, and what records did i take?, Those records would change my course in history and DJing. ie.. Fatback, Earth Wind & Fire, Kool and the Gang. The first track i played was Bus Stop by The Fatback Band.. the crowd went balistick !

Foward to 1980 and the family decided to emigrate to Europe. Its there where I got involved professionally as a Presenter//DJ, working for numerous independent radio stations. I also did a show with Kasey Kasam on AFRS (american forces radio station) and it was he who first played Stacey Lattisaw's Jump the Beat.
Apart from playing music, I was heavily involved in creating music and worked as a session guitarist for many uk soul based bands in the early 80's, I worked with Junior Giscombe's cousin Tony Graham in his plush recording studio churning out soulful tunes on a daily basis.

In the early 2000's i was invited by my brother Mike Howard to be a guest on his superior rhythm show on solar radio where Tony Monson heard me and freaked out with my selections of music and offered me a spot doing the breakfast show which lasted for 5 years. It was murder getting up at 5am every day.

Thanks to Mike Howard again and the crew behind Morpher Radio Dave Morpher and Debz for offering me a Thursday night spot playing our kind of music. Sit back and enjoy the Feel Good Factor with DJ Chris Ejay!!.
