Mark's Profile
I was born in East London in the 60s and then moved to Ilford, Essex where I developed my passion for music after being exposed, at an earl age, to great clubs like The Lacy Lady, Goldmine and Zero 6. I would also venture into London to the Wag Club in Soho and many others. At this time I also discovered radio stations such as Radio Luxembourg, (I got good at tuning that one in on a Sunday night!), Solar Radio, Horizon and JFM.

For me, the 80s were the best decade for music. Needless to say, most of my hard earned money was spent on vinyl at that time, and my record collection began to grow. My main influences have to be Chris Hill, Robbie Vincent, Froggy (God bless) and Greg Edwards, (Saturday soul spectrum at the Lyceum, oh yeah!).

Today, I am interested in most genres of music, including house, garage and reggae, but my main love is soul, jazz and funk.

Recently, I have dabbled in mobile DJing and have been an occasional guest on radio shows, and now feel very privileged to be given the opportunity to join the Morpher family, the home of jazz, funk and soul.

If it's soul, funk it!
